ABN AMRO Clearing Bank

As part of Global Technical Services (GTS) responsible for maintaining the Integration Platform and ensuring that the coding quality is maintained. Developed tooling to facilitate in this including a webMethods SonarQube plugin, a unit test automation framework for the webMethods platform and a graph database of the pub/sub flow.
Installation automation with Chef and Ansible Tower for the provisioning, patching and upgrading of webMethods components and various other maintenance automation tasks.

Sabbatical

Took a year off to live some and learn some.

ABN AMRO Clearing Bank

In the ABN AMRO Clearing Bank Integration Layer I worked with a great team of technical experts making operational and structural improvements to the Integration Platform. Tasks included platform upgrades to webMethods 9.5 and 9.9, development of administration and maintenance tooling, and finally design and development of the in-house Managed File Transfer solution which is used for all file transfers within the Integration Layer as well as to/from external parties.

Tele2 AB

Integration Lead in a very skilled team of professionals in the Integration Competency Center (ICC) of Tele2 located in beautiful Stockholm, Sweden. Technical project management, design and analysis on various integration projects in a dynamic and high-pressure development cycle, collaborating with Information Architects, System Engineers, Test and Development teams over seas and of course the Business.

Ziggo

Responsible for webMethods development and design on end-customer facing as well as B2B projects. Responsible for unit-testing and directly supporting the functional testing groups and delivering deployment packages & documentation to the technical administration team. Worked on interesting projects like incorporating premium content like HBO, implementing Pay Per Event and upgrading the provisioning platform.

Kempen & Co (currently Van Lanschot Bankiers)

Joined the development team at Kempen & Co and learned the TIBCO Businessworks product suite. Was also introduced to the world of securities trading and finance. Worked on projects to facilitate the various business units ranging from regular automation of the front- and back-office to specialized units like Structured Products and Banking Systems.

Qualogy Consultancy

Based for a period of one year at Casema (currently Ziggo) in a leading role in the webMethods Technical Operations team. Responsible for improving the overall operation and maintenance of the middleware environment, assist webMethods system engineers with troubleshooting and analysis of any problems and make improvements to prevent future problems. Also learned much from all the Java, Oracle and technology gurus in-house at Qualogy.

webMethods (currently Software AG)

Responsible for handling a wide variety of highly technical support cases submitted to webMethods Technical Services, supporting customers, consultants and sales engineers directly and handling critical production cases. Relocated to Bahrain for two months to assist a partner company (Systems of Strategic Business Solutions) in setting up a Support Center for webMethods customers in the Middle-East region. Trained new engineers not only in webMethods support procedures and tools but in the webMethods products and guidelines.

Rutgers - The State University of New Jersey

Completed Bachelors degrees majoring in both Computer Science and Psychology. Also worked in the campus computer labs where I learned customer management and service skills, technical troubleshooting and administration.
